Ash Magazine is accepting dark and unusual stories of 3500 words or less for it's second issue. I pay $25.00 per story per thousand copies sold.
The submission process is quite simple. You just e-mail me a story in word or open office format and I will take a look at it. Probably (depending on the number of submissions I get) at the end of the month I will e-mail everyone with the decision on which stories I will be putting in the magazine. Last issue I got 61 submissions and I printed ten of them. It takes about another month to get all of the art together and then I am going to post it on as many e-book sites as I can find.
Here are links for the first issue (I don't know why only the first link works. Copy and paste the other ones):

Most stories will have color illustrations drawn specifically for each story.
Printing of the issues is done in very small runs, full color, hand numbered and hand cut. I don't plan on printing more then a thousand printed copies of each issue unless for some reason things change and there is a huge demand for them. If for some reason that did happen the second thousand would be considered the second printing thus the value of them would be less.
Copyright is owned by the author or artist for each story, they can be resold or used for whatever you want. I just get the rights to sell digital and printed versions of your story in the magazine for as long as I pay you twenty five dollars per thousand copies sold.
